The Kantha used for this ornament is kantha scraps left over from the production of the recycled kantha rugs in Sissel Edelbo's collections. The Kantha embroidery technique gives previously used cotton saris from Indian women a new life as recycled clothing. As part of Sissel Edelbo's values, the idea of reusing and using existing scraps is highly valued. In this way, Sissel Edelbo minimizes the production of new materials.
