This blanket is made from a handmade patchwork in India, assembled from recycled fabric scraps from former dresses, tops and party wear. The colorful fabric scraps can be full of delicate embroidery and are stitched together in a unique blend. A way to use existing material instead of producing new. The blanket also features kantha topstitching, handmade by Indian artisans.
Kantha is a traditional embroidery method characterized by many rows of short, continuous stitches. This distinctive embroidery method has been used in India for hundreds of years.
