Porcelain. Do not overheat the cup in the microwave. Wash gently. Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool. Product size and shape vary in each product due to the manufacturing process. The appearance of unevenness in color bubbles varies in each item. Some products may have a scorch-like texture on the surface. There is a unique glaze effect called "yo-hen", unintentional color transformation on ceramics and porcelain after firing.
