ENVELOPE: With a shared fascination and passion for the sea and a goal of a more sustainable and transparent fashion industry, we are proud to launch a collaboration between ENVELOPE1976 and SLEEPERS. We are launching our signature model "tapered" in sustainable natural rubber in classic black and the color Sand, inspired by nature.
Sleepers are flip flops made of natural rubber, bottled in Sri Lanka. The natural rubber is obtained under fair conditions, certified by the Fair Rubber Association, which ensures good working conditions. The natural rubber is tapped in a way that ensures the natural life cycle of the trees (around 20-30 grams from each tree per day). Natural rubber breathes, is easy to clean and is incredibly comfortable.
Sleepers contain 10-15% synthetic material that acts as a binder. It is, as of today, the minimum amount of synthetic material the shoes have to contain in order to maintain a good quality. In this way, it is ensured that the shoes do not break down too soon. We are constantly looking for the most optimal solutions.
