The oilskin caps from Varsity are made from traditional Scottish oilskin, which gives the cap a great surface and nostalgic feel. The material is sourced from Dundee in Scotland, and has water-repellent properties. As the oil in the cap eventually dries out, we can see that the cap changes character and gets a unique "patina" effect. Varsity's Oilskin cap is one of their most durable and weatherproof caps intended for everyday use. If you do not want this effect, it is recommended to use Varsity's Reproofing wax, so that the cap retains its shine.
Due to the natural oil in the cap, it is not recommended to wash the Oilskin caps. Should a stain occur, it can be removed with a damp cloth. Feel free to apply a layer of Reproofing wax if you want to keep the cap's natural shine.

- Made from 100% waxed cotton.
- Made of 45% Viscose, 32% Polyester, 23% Cotton.
- The cap has an adjustable (+/- 1.5 cm) nylon strap with stainless steel rings.
CARRYING POWER:
A cap produces approximately 5.8 kg of CO2 from the time it is produced until it is sent to your home. This corresponds to approximately 5 washes in the washing machine. For every Varsity cap produced and shipped, we offset the amount of CO2 through our collaboration with CHOOOSE.
